Adams Rite new deadlocks specifically aimed at meeting the new standards BS 3621 and BS EN12209.

Currently in development, two new deadlocks from Adams Rite represent how the leading security solutions provider is moving forward in the industry Due to be launched later in 2008, the deadlocks have been designed and developed with the company's extensive knowledge of the market at the fore

The products are specifically aimed at meeting the new standards BS 3621 and BS EN12209 - highlighting Adams Rite's strong support of the new legislation within the security hardware arena.

The company's aim is to strive to meet these regulations with its new products - even before they become mandatory.

Simon Guy, technical manager for Adams Rite discusses the rationale behind the development of the deadlocks and what the changes within the security hardware industry mean for the company: "We have seen a significant growth in the thermally broken door system market, and anticipate that the market of commercial aluminium doors is likely to become dominated by the thermally broken style, reflecting the situation in the European market".

"We felt it was important for us to develop new locking hardware to meet the needs of this growing sector and, that these products also met the standards BS EN 12209 and BS3621 which were looming on the horizon".

""We are facing a lot more competition from European companies than we used to and we are no longer within a niche market.

Therefore, it is more important than ever that we invest in our new product development and ensure we put products on the market which are both ahead of the competition in the standards they meet and the needs they fulfil".

"More than anything, we felt it was imperative that our product development would ensure we can compete with our European competitors by developing products which offer greater marketing potential and opportunities for growth".

"We pride ourselves on always being one step ahead - of legislation, our competitors and our products.".
