Asbestos awareness at HSE Safety Seminar
During a recent HSE Construction Safety Seminar, Admas gave a presentation about asbestos awareness.

One of the requirements of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 is that employers and employees are responsible for being aware of, and informing others of, the presence of asbestos.
Personnel must be able to recognise the likely locations and inherent risks involved with asbestos to avoid inadvertent disturbance, accidents, exposure and potentially time consuming and expensive cleaning operations.
The organiser Jane Sykes the senior environmental Health Officer stated that; "The presentation was first rate, excellent content and very well delivered".
On show were the ADMAS museum cabinets containing an array of different types of materials which contain asbestos?.
Along side this, delegates were encouraged to view various contained samples of asbestos which could be viewed under a microscope.
