AET brings flexible operations to Farnborough
AET is ready for take off at Farnborough Air Terminal with the latest application of its market leading Flexible Space Concept incorporating Hiross underfloor air conditioning.
Whether specifying an office refit or planning for a new tall building, consultants are, it seems, increasingly turning to underfloor air conditioning as the greener option.
As Matt Cartwright of architectural practice RMJM explains, moving away from a conventional system can really cut the carbon footprint of a project: "An underfloor system such as the Hiross product saves energy and cost from start to finish".
"The space-saving nature of a raised access flooring based system eliminates the need for large ceiling voids and can translate to a 15% reduction in building height".
"This makes for a much shorter and energy efficient construction time".
"The product also lends itself to future energy saving, as it is easily reconfigurable where office churn is concerned".
On the company's outlook for 2008, managing director Glan Blake Thomas adds: "The Flexible Space Concept incorporating Hiross underfloor air conditioning continues to offer the most energy efficient option, when compared to traditional methods".
"This is reflected in the continued success both of our UK operation and the further expansion into the Middle East.".
