Aganto Part L2A compliant temporary buildings

An Aganto product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Mar 3, 2009

Aganto is first UK company to offer a fully Part L2A compliant range of aluminium framed temporary buildings, providing a genuine alternative to a permanent building at a fraction of the cost.

Aluminium framed temporary buildings have become an increasingly popular solution in a wide range of short term applications including the provision of temporary warehouses and workshops, sports and leisure facilities, educational buildings and retail spaces.

Until recently however, the inability of traditional temporary buildings to meet the requirements of Part L2A of the Building Regulations has limited their use in more complex, long term projects, specifically those where heating is required and with a duration of two years or more.

The only product of its kind currently on the market, Aganto's Part L2A Range has the high level of insulation and air-tightness required to meet the mandatory U-values set out in Part L2A of the Building Regulations.

Walls are engineered from steel sandwich composite panels with a minimum thickness of 60mm and have the aesthetic qualities and finish of a permanent building.

The steel roof and wall panels are installed using the necessary Robust Detail to provide the high level of air-tightness.

In addition a unique system of roof lights allows a stream of natural light to provide solar gain, thus reducing the overall CO2 footprint of the building.

Providing the look, feel and structural integrity of a permanent building but without the need for traditional foundations and civil works, Aganto's Part L2A buildings can be erected from just four to six weeks, offering dramatically reduced design, labour and material costs.

With a comprehensive range of optional extras including partitions, ceilings, flooring and furniture, Aganto's specialist site management team can also work closely with building contractors and project managers to transform a basic Part L2A compliant structure into a fully functional and comfortable public facility.

Typical applications include recreational and retail facilities, practical workshops, classrooms, gyms and manufacturing units.

The range is also suitable for a more permanent operational warehouse, enabling companies to quickly and cost-effectively capitalise on increased demand.
