Moulton College teams up with temporary building specialist, Aganto, to install a new teaching workshop.

With the Government pledging GBP4.3bn to plug the skills gap in the UK workforce by increasing practical based learning opportunities, Moulton College has teamed up with temporary building specialist, Aganto, to install a new teaching workshop.

Based in Northamptonshire with an estate extending to 1,600 acres, the college has an unrivalled reputation for excellence in training for the land based, construction and furniture industries.

Experiencing a higher intake of students enrolling on its Brickwork NVQ courses at its Daventry Vocational Skills Academy, Moulton College had a need to expand its premises to meet the increase in demand, opting for a temporary building from Aganto to provide a highly cost-effective and flexible solution.

Aganto's professional site management team took only a week to install a 540 sq m workshop over an outdoor basketball court at the Daventry-based campus, providing ample space for teaching 72 students at any one time.

The re-locatable, clear span workshop is complete with insulation, fully glazed windows and roller shutter doors, providing a safe and comfortable teaching and working environment.

All Aganto's temporary buildings are manufactured from European sourced structural grade anodised (high impact) aluminium profiles and are hand finished, ensuring the highest quality end product.

With PVC coated fabric roofs and steel clad walls, Aganto's buildings combine clean, modern looks with remarkable solidity and strength and come complete with a 10-year guarantee.

Moulton College Building and Resources Manager, Mike Putman, comments: "With the number of students for NVQs in Brickwork almost doubling, our objective was to offer the course to new students with minimum disruption to existing timetables.

The speed with which Aganto completed the project meant that the new facility was up and running in a very short space of time.

"We also found Aganto unbeatable on design.

They were able to install a clear span unit which maximises the space of the workshop and allows it to be used to full capacity.

The ability to relocate the building in the future was also an important factor for the college.
