Armstrong World Industries, a leading supplier of suspended ceiling systems, has launched the TLX grid, the world's first composite staked on clip suspended grid system.

The TLX grid incorporates a revolutionary staked on hook clip, which makes use of a taller, tapered profile to enhance stability and strength, making installation easier and faster The new clip has improved flushness at the connection and is made with colour blended, extrusion grade, rigid composite for enhanced visual appeal

The Superlock lateral connect and disconnect function of the new design also offers more secure alignment and improved stability making TLX grids much easier to install and remove in low clearance areas and in the centre of rooms.

The new technology is also in keeping with Armstrong's continuing commitment to the environment.

As the new clips are considerably lighter than the steel clips they replace, carton weights are reduced dramatically.

"We have developed the new clip to help contractors save time on the jobsite".

"All the field tests we did with contractors to prepare the launch have proved this clip provides improved performance and easier installation".

"The creation of the TLX clip enabled us to utilise innovative thin gauge technology and significantly improve the strength with the Peakform section and double stitching - with the added benefit of self squaring during installation," says Jonathan Griffiths UK and AME Sales Director for Armstrong".

""The development of the new clip also gave us a great opportunity to reduce the weight, once more affirming our commitment to reducing our environmental impact.".
