Exclusive distributor Aico Limited has just announced the new Ei168 Radio-Link RF Interconnect Mounting Base for use with Aico's best-selling Ei140 and Ei160 series of mains powered smoke alarms.

As the use of optical alarms in domestic properties is becoming more widespread, Aico believes this latest product modification will prove highly popular with local authorities and housing associations alike.
Of course what hasn't changed is the Ei160 Series use of proven detection technology, unique 'Easi-fit' design for exceptional time and cost savings during installation and high performance 10 year + rechargeable Lithium cells to provide over six month's back-up in the event of a mains failure.
The Ei160 Series includes ionisation, optical and heat alarm models, all of which are fully interconnectable to provide a custom-designed system.
Ei160 Series alarms can also be interconnected with other Ei Professional alarms if required.
The alarms are also fully compatible with the highly acclaimed Ei168 RadioLINK base which offers further cost and time savings by allowing wireless interconnection of individual alarms as opposed to hard wire connection.

5839 Part 6 Grade D applications, the Ei160 Series incorporates advanced suppression and calibration technology to reduce false alarms, an 85dBA alarm at three metres for exceptional audibility and all three models feature a 'hush' facility to silence nuisance alarms.
