Aico offers Handyfacts for electrical contractors

An Aico product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Apr 8, 2010

Aico has introduced an Electrical Contractors Handyfacts mini magnetic booklet covering all required information on Fire, Smoke and Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarms.

The Handyfacts booklet is credit card sized and has been designed to be kept in a contractor's toolbox or pocket, as a quick reminder of best practice.

It covers which alarm types to use in different areas of a property, explains siting requirements with clear diagrams, and also gives details on wiring and accessories.

The Handyfacts explains the options that are available when it comes to alarm interconnection, including hard-wiring and Aico's own Radiolink Professional system which uses Radio Frequency signals to link alarms.

Radiolink Professional reduces installation time, costs and disruption associated with hard-wired interconnection.

The Handyfacts is suitable as a memory refresher, but for contractors wanting more detail, Aico recommends its Electrical Contractors Handybook which expands on all the topics covered in the Handyfacts.
