Alimak Hek has been selected by Cabrillo Hoist to supply a large number of its Scando 650 construction hoists.

Alimak Hek, the world's leading manufacturer of Rack and Pinion driven equipment for vertical transportation, has been selected by Cabrillo Hoist to supply a large number of its Scando 650 construction hoists to significantly increase Cabrillo's current rental fleet The new Alimak equipment will not only replace some of Cabrillo's old hoists, but also add new ones to its fleet

About Scando 650.

A fully modular vertical transport solution, the Alimak Scando 650 hoist offers a high level of flexibility, as it is available in various configurations including different doors and gates, drive units (a two-motor DOL and two- or three-motor FC), speeds (up to 65 m/min) and payload capacities.

This flexibility ensures that the Scando 650 can be configured to fit virtually any customer application.

What's more, it can be done with relatively few modules and components, meaning that reconfiguring the unit is fast and simple.

Available in single or twin car configurations, the Scando 650 offers payloads of 3530 to 7100 lbs/car.

Two or three FC frequency control or two DOL motors drive the system through a high-efficiency gearbox.

The non-counterweighted Scando 650 operates at speeds of up to 215 ft/min and provides more hoist power, while using as much as 40 percent less power than previous Scando models.

The 'top-of-the-range' Scando 650 FC features a car length of 12 feet 9 inches, which can be extended up to 15 feet 1 inch.
