Alimak Hek, the world's leading manufacturer of rack and pinion driven equipment for vertical transportation, announces a strategic realignment of Champion Elevators' position in the vertical transportation market.

Champion Elevators is a U.S.-based manufacturer of rack and pinion construction hoists and industrial lifts.

Champion Elevators' serves the construction industry with temporary hoists, and the offshore, oil and gas, refinery, and power industries with permanent industrial lifts.

The Alimak Hek Group is a global, leading supplier of mast climbing equipment and added value services for both temporary and permanent installations, providing vertical access solutions for people and materials in the construction industry.

Alimak Hek Group National Sales Manager Anthony Dragone says this shift in philosophy from rentals to sales is another key step in securing the company's market leadership position: "In the months following the acquisition of Champion's assets, Alimak Hek has successfully reestablished the Champion brand and has had a favorable response from the Champion fleet owner network with an increase of construction hoist sales".

"Shifting Champion's philosophy from renting hoists to selling hoists has convinced fleet owners to turn, once again, to Champion elevators for their construction needs".

This realignment is a result of Alimak Hek's recent acquisition of Champion Elevators' manufacturing and design businesses.
