An Allied Images reseller supplies Facilities Management company ten Colortrac SmartLF Gx 42 scanners for legal firm print room contract.

An Allied Images reseller has supplied a leading facilities management supplier with ten (10) Colortrac SmartLF Gx 42e scanners and SCP Colorado software for scanning, copying and printing The FM supplier was recently awarded a contract to supply print room services to a large legal firm with 29 offices in UK, Europe, ME and Asia

As part of the new contract they sought to replace ten (10) scanners supplied some five years ago by Allied Images.

The SmartLF Gx 42 scanners and Colorado software were installed, and local staff trained, by Allied Images and the reseller's staff over a two-month period.

Allied Images also coordinated the efforts of hardware and software suppliers Colortrac and SCP (Germany) to optimise the scanner/software integration.

The Gx 42 scanners and Colorado software are used with newly supplied HP Designjet large-format printers to provide a fast and cost effective high-quality scan, copy and print solution.

This enables both full-colour and monochrome scanning/copying functionality with enlargement/reduction, multiple copies, nesting, paper management etc.

all with excellent colour matching.

SmartLF Gx 42e is a high performance colour scanner with leading edge Charge Coupled Device (CCD) technology that delivers fast, high quality scans, copies and file distribution of large format documents that require a wide colour gamut and high dynamic range.

These 42" scanners will also capture accurately the finest details of maps, engineering drawings, blueprints, site plans, architectural renderings and many other technical documents in monochrome or colour at resolutions from 100 up to 9600dpi".

"Original images can be captured off media from 6", up to 48", wide by any length and the GxT versions provide motorised thick media scanning of mounted originals up to 0.8" (2cm) thickness.

These features make Gx 42 scanners ideal for use in a print room where the range of documents is highly diverse.

A major factor in the purchase decision was the quality and reliability of the previous scanners and the service provided by Allied Images over the previous five years.

The reseller's sales director said "we were confident that Allied Images would be able to provide equal quality and service with the latest technology scanners and software within the client's budget".

"We have an excellent long-term relationship lasting many years with Allied, both as scanner end-users and resellers, and so felt comfortable dealing with the people there.".
