The old, original cast iron rainwater goods had to be replaced to a standard and appearance to comply with the building's Heritage status and also had to meet the requirements of the Conservation Officer.
The Alumasc Heritage Cast Aluminium Rainwater system was selected for the project for a number of reasons, including the modern aluminium casting techniques used to achieve an authentic cast iron texture and appearance, along with the factory applied, BBA approved powder coating which ensures minimal maintenance requirements, removing the need for frequent repainting.
The wide choice of fixing methods including fascia brackets, drive-in brackets and rafter arms, with all the architectural options for period buildings the range offers, resulted in an attractive, durable and lightweight rainwater solution.
