The latest generation Derbigum system incorporates enhanced performance properties such as increased flexibility, stronger reinforcement and an improved fire rating that satisfies all UK and European Fire Tests and the requirements of Factory Mutual.
Derbigum also offers one of the fastest, most economic and simple installation procedures available for any high performance system.
Contractors can choose from five different installation methods, including those that do not require the use of hot bitumen, flame or hot air gun - thereby reducing the risk of fire during installation and increasing site safety.
At Stoke Mandeville, a Derbigum charcoal grey mineral cap sheet was used with cut to falls insulation and the Alumasc Hi-Ten Bond vapour control layer.
Whilst the Derbigum membrane requires no surface finish, it may be optionally painted or can be specified with one of five mineral facings.
As a 4mm dual-reinforced TPO modified bitumen membrane, Derbigum is suitable for both refurbishment projects and new build applications.
The system is warranted for up to 20 years and has a BBA backed life expectancy in excess of 30 years.
Its long-term performance has also been officially recognised by the FRA who awarded Derbigum the 2004 Product Excellence Award.
