They can also be used with, or independently of, Alumasc's Harmer SML and Harmer HDPE internal and external pipework.
Designed to last the lifetime of the building, Harmer roof outlets are cast in an easy-to-handle light-weight aluminium alloy which is straightforward to move about on site and during installation.
Suitable for a wide range of lightweight roof decks, the alloy is also stronger and less brittle than cast iron, while being highly resistant to corrosion.
Peter Grierson, Business Manager for Alumasc Drainage products explains, "As the highest performing anti-vortex outflows on the market, Harmer Enhanced Flow Systems allow specifiers to keep the number of outlets, pipework and roof penetrations on a building to a minimum".
"This results in faster installation times and reduced costs across the entire project".
"Roof AV Retro-Gulley outlets also incorporate anti-vortex performance and enable flat roof upgrading without the need to remove the old rainwater outlet".
"Instead, the aluminium tail pipe connects directly into the existing pipework via the old outlet".
Harmer also comprises drainage solutions to suit common on-site requirements such as two-way parapet, balcony and car park outlets.
The latter are rated to one tonne bearing load to meet BS requirements.
In addition, outlets with a high insulation value are available and are ideal for warm flat roof applications as they avoid any possibility of condensation forming as a result of cold bridging.
To aid specifiers, Alumasc supports contractors with a state-of-the-art software programme that carries out complex design calculations for any type of roof in any part of the country.
This software reduces calculation times to a fraction of that taken by traditional methods.
All calculations are based on BSEN12056 Part III.
