Armaseam metal roof from Alumasc

An Alumasc Exterior Building Products product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Oct 24, 2007

Armaseam metal roofing systems developed by Alumasc are helping to regenerate commercial activity in Monkton, South Tyneside.

As part of the development of the former cokeworks at Monkton, near Hebburn, Armaseam, high performance standing seam metal roof system and Skyline fascia/soffits were specified for a virtually maintenance-free roofing package that is totally weatherproof and incorporates integrated rainwater handling within the seamless eaves.

Armaseam architectural roofing is constructed from roll-formed panels that can be manufactured to any length.

Panels are available in aluminium, copper, zinc or stainless steel and can be factory-preformed or manufactured on site.

The bespoke eaves detail specifically designed for the Monkton project perfectly complements the clean uncluttered linear form of the Armaseam roof.

Alumasc Skyline is an aluminium fascia/soffit system that offers a multiplicity of design solutions for architects.

Skyline is available in four standard fascia profiles, along with the bespoke options, and these may be configured to form any desired detail.

Alumasc's technical team will design the fixing and support solutions to individual requirements.

The project architects were Ian Belsham Associates of Newcastle and the contractor was Robertson Construction of Gateshead.
