Knightstone Island, linked to the mainland by a causeway, is an exposed location that demanded a high performance envelope able to withstand the coastal weather conditions.

Developer Redrow Homes specified Alumasc's Silkolitt Silicone Render which was installed by approved contractor Specialist External Render Systems of Gwent.

Alumasc's lightweight Silicone Renders are suitable for both new build projects and the re-modelling of existing facades.

The system provides a consistent and colourfast appearance.

These decorative coatings are water repellent, highly weather resistant and are available in an extensive range of colour options in either rolled or dragged surface textures.

Easy to apply, the systems offers the longevity and weathering features of render along with an aesthetic quality that complies with modern design and performance requirements including UV stability and protection against damaging solvents, acids and pollutants within the environment.

Alumasc's Hydrotech Structural Waterproofing System and GX Aluminium Box Gutters were also specified at Knightstone Island.

Hydrotech is a durable, self-healing monolithic membrane which is fully warranted, BBA Approved and meets European technical Approval ETA-05/0152.

The GX Pressed Aluminium Gutter range forms part of Alumasc's portfolio of Rainwater Systems, manufactured from 100 per cent recyclable aluminium to ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Standards.
