Aluminium in new homes
AM Profiles complete new development designed by CAD Associates of Lincoln for Stamford Homes which effectively uses aluminium curtain walling, windows and doors in a low rise residential application.
They believe they are the only UK manufacturer to offer a solution for windows, doors and curtain wall in timber aluminium composite.
The curtain wall system uses a solid or laminated timber structural component internally, which can be supplied to match the window and door finishes, with the external glazing being either fixed using an aluminium pressure plate and capping, or alternatively, structurally glazed.
As the complete fabricated arrangement can be provided by AM Profiles, or a registered fabricator or installer, the specifier can be guaranteed colour matching on both the timber internal finish and the external aluminium.
Curtain wall systems can be provided to offer various levels of fire resistance and offer high levels of insulation down to a 0.7 U value.
AM Profiles provide two high performance timber and aluminium composite systems, the acclaimed ALARBOND suite of profiles and the new Design-5 system.
ALARBOND is a composite system which utilises aluminium as the structural element of the window whilst Design-5 uses a traditional timber construction which is clad with extruded aluminium profiles.
Each window system is available in various opening configurations and fully fabricated to custom sizes.
Specifiers wishing to use the companyandOtilde;s product can be introduced by AM profiles to local installers who can offer a bespoke supply and install service.
