With this new 2005 version we have incorporated all the changes required for Part P." AMTECH has been actively involved in discussions with accredited licensing centres approved by the government.
As a result, AMTECH's Test and Inspection software, FastTest, has been upgraded to be fully Part P ready.
FastTest 2005 now includes new NICEIC and British Standards certificates and reports, enabling accredited contractors to comply with the Part P certification and reporting requirements.
This means that users with the new FastTest 2005 version are ready for the implementation of Part P in January 2005.
Other important new enhancements to FastTest include powerful new management tools for forecasting and advising customers when re-inspections are due, as well as the ability to add documents and images to installations and certificates.
ProDesign, AMTECH's Electrical Design software package, also contains many new features and enhancements for 2005, so it is now even more flexible and easy to use.
These include: powerful integration with Protect, AMTECH's circuit protection software, giving greater flexibility; the ability to include multiple switchboards and switching arrangements to model different scenarios; plus many new time-saving drawing features.
New switching facilities are now included that can be used to create multiple switchboard projects, and different sources can be included throughout the project as required.
As Steve Gazeley is keen to point out, "Software development is always ongoing, especially as legislation and technology progresses.
