Two new remedial wall ties, the 'HRT4/R' and the 'Type A R/R', provide a cost-effective repair solution where masonry cavity walls have been built with either incorrect or insufficient wall ties.
The benefit of these ties over other remedial ties is that they meet the performance requirements of 'Type A' ties to Approved Document E, and are therefore suitable for use in internal separating walls of new build attached dwellings.
The 'HRT4/R' has been developed for use where only one leaf has been built and the 'Type A R/R' for where both leaves are built.
In each case the ties are resin-bonded in 10mm diameter holes.
