Andersen's range of Frenchwood Patio Doors offer aesthetically pleasing and cost effective solution to builders and developers wanting to give homes a dramatic and distinctive entrance way.

Andersen's range of Frenchwood Patio Doors is offering an aesthetically pleasing and cost effective solution to builders and developers wanting to give their homes a dramatic and distinctive entrance way More and more builders are now combining Andersen's Frenchwood Gliding or Hinged Patio Doors (available in inward and outward opening options) with fixed sidelights on either side, in order to create a feature that opens up their houses to a greater sense of light, space and comfort

The Andersen range can also be combined with a whole host of other options such as casements, sliding sash and awning windows, through to the very popular use of circle tops and elipticals over the doors themselves.

Specified not only for their elegant good looks and versatility, Andersen's range of Patio Doors are all BBA certified for superior strength, durability and performance.

Constructed with a strong wood base frame, the outside panels are protected by a unique low maintenance Perma-Shield system, available in white, Sandtone (natural beige), Terratone (earth colour) or Forest Green, which delivers excellent weather resistance.

On the inside, high quality, knot free pine offers home owners all the beauty of natural wood, which can be varnished, stained, or painted to suit the interior decor.

Low E argon filled, tempered double glazed units, giving U values as low as 1.58, ensure superior energy efficiency, with solar control insulating glass with a soft grey tint available as an additional option, which can further reduce heat gain.

For added protection against the elements, a thermal barrier on the sill reduces conductive heat loss and prevents condensation on the inside of the doors, whilst a flexible weatherstrip on the head and side jambs gives an effective seal between the frame and the panels.

The additional luxury of High Performance Low-E4 self cleaning glass is offered as standard, across the 400 Series of Frenchwood Gliding and Hinged Patio Doors, with the glazing protected on delivery by a special disposable film.

Designed for security, convenience and practicality, all Andersen Patio Doors are available with optional six-pin key cylinder interior and exterior locks.

The Gliding Patio Doors, with their ball bearing rollers, slide smoothly and quietly along stainless steel tracks, which do not stain, rust or dent, and are positioned on the inside of the house for greater security.

The Frenchwood Hinged Patio Doors, have adjustable patented hinges with ball bearing pivots for frictionless movement.

An oak threshold can also be added to the interior and as an option, and exterior and/or interior ramps for wheelchairs can be supplied for the inward opening and gliding patio doors in order to meet Part M.

A range of handle hardware is available in bright or antique brass, chrome, brushed chrome, satin nickel, white and stone.

The Frenchwood Hinged Patio Doors can also be fitted with a sill extender and exterior extension jamb system.
