Sustainable alternative to full frame replacement

Andersen Windows, one the world's largest wood window manufacturers, is launching the pioneering new Woodwright sliding sash 'insert' replacement window at Interbuild.

A cost effective, easy to install and sustainable alternative to full frame replacement, the new Woodwright 'insert window' allows builders to replace the inner sash quickly and efficiently, while leaving the outer trim and frame completely intact, preserving the beauty and integrity of the original window.

Ideal for renovating and maintaining the classic look of traditional, older and heritage properties, this elegant sliding sash combines 'olde-world' craftsmanship with modern technology, resulting in a high performance, low maintenance and energy efficicient replacement window.

A thoroughly eco friendly option, the new Woodwright insert window incorporates Fibrex - a sustainable, thermally efficient wood composite which is made from 50% recycled waste.

This patented blend of reclaimed pine wood fibre bonded and a specially formulated thermoplastic polymer delivers the strength, rigidity and thermal performance equal to wood, a stability superior to wood and it even has the appearance of natural wood.

As each wood fibre is coated with polymer, it is also resistant to flaking, blistering, peeling, cracking and corrosion so that, like PVC-u, there is no need for painting.

The Woodwright insert window offers a range of natural wood interiors including pine, maple, oak and pre-finished white.

Exterior colours include a choice of: white, Sandtone (a neutral beige), Terratone (an earth colour) and forest green to complement the architecture of the property.

As with all Andersen windows and patio doors, the Woodwright insert window comes with soft coat low E, argon filled double glazing and new High Performance Low-E4 self cleaning glass as standard.

The Woodwright insert window comes with an Owner-to-Owner limited warranty, (twenty years on the glass, ten on the window itself).
