Andersen Windows has further upgraded its Woodwright range of made to measure sliding sash windows with high performance self cleaning glass.
Sustainable alternative to full frame replacement
Andersen Windows, one the world's largest wood window manufacturers, is launching the pioneering new Woodwright sliding sash 'insert' replacement window at Interbuild.
A patented blend of reclaimed pine wood fibre bonded and a specially formulated thermoplastic polymer, this revolutionary new material delivers the strength, rigidity and thermal performance equal to wood, a stability superior to wood and even has the appearance of natural wood.
As each wood fibre is coated with polymer, it is also resistant to flaking, blistering, peeling, cracking and corrosion so that, like PVC-u, there is no need for painting or regular maintenance.
"Woodwright has become extremely popular with builders as it allows them to offer their customers a high performance, sustainable product, with the benefits of low maintenance and the appearance of a traditional box sash of yesteryear," said Gary Hutton, General Manager of Black Millwork, distributor for Andersen Windows in the UK and Ireland.
Design features include: a choice of popular pine, oak, maple and pre-finished white interior finishes; traditional narrow profiles; Fibrex sashes available in both equal and cottage styles, which tilt inwards for safe and easy cleaning; mortise and tenon-styled joints instead of unsightly welded corners; traditional chamfered check rails; and a range of high definition external glazing bar options, all adding to the authentic appeal.
Exterior colours include a choice of: white, Sandtone (a neutral beige), Terratone (an earth colour) and forest green to complement the architectural design or landscape.
With the range also available in Archtop, Springline and Unequal Leg Arch styles, in both made-to-measure and standard brick sizes, Woodwright is ideal for both new build and refurbishment projects.
As with all Andersen windows and patio doors, the Woodwright comes with soft coat low E, argon filled double glazing and new High Performance Low-E4 self cleaning glass as standard.
Additional glazing options include high performance, reinforced and tinted sun glass.
