AstralPool moveable walls divide pools

An AstralPool UK product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Apr 8, 2008

Moveable wall, designed and manufactured by AstralPool makes it possible to divide a single pool into several different pools.

An innovative moveable wall system has been installed into a newly built luxury pool complex in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan situated on the borders of Iran and Afghanistan.

Versatility is the outstanding feature of the wall.

Built on a lattice metal structure it is supported by two longitudinal tracks inserted into the pool decks.

The wall measures 27 metres, has a walkway width of 1.2 metres, a height of 2 metres and weighs 8 tonnes.

An automatic traction system allows the walls position in the pool to be changed via remote control.

Stainless steel wheels glide the wall over a length of 25m and allows for changing size in the pool basin.

For example a 25m x 50m pool can be easily divided into two 25m x 25m pools.

The AstralPool wall was installed working in conjunction with ARTES the Turkish pool building company who built the complex and was ready for use with 20 days and complied fully with International Swimming Federation Regulation.

The system is ideal for commercial pools that are multi use and AstralPool's comprehensive technical support will ensure projects undertaken by Architects and Engineers in the swimming pool and wellness world are fully supported from start to finish.

Technical Features:.

Movement by stainless steel rails embedded on pool sides.

Traction By cables from both pool walls.

Operation By a drum with double wound cable operation.

Power 3/4 HP.

Structure Module of beams and lattice in stainless steel.
