Andromeda Telematics has now completed the first stage of the London Heathrow Terminal 5 contract secured last year.

Andromeda Telematics the leading EIB (European Installation Bus) building controls company, has now completed the first stage of the London Heathrow Terminal 5 contract secured last year The company has installed the lighting management system for an air traffic control tower using EIB technology

This will ensure that the 87 metre tall tower's highly accurate dimming controls will provide air traffic controllers with optimum lighting levels for viewing both instruments and approaching aircraft.

The project presented Andromeda Telematics with a number of technical challenges and these have been addressed using EIB technology.

"EIB is a simple technology in terms of ease of installation but has a high integration and functional capability with the ability to easily change its functionality to meet changing project requirements," says Chris Glasow, Executive Chairman of Andromeda Telematics.

"These factors were key to its specification for both the traffic control tower and the Terminal 5 contract as a whole".

The company was established over seven years ago and is now recognised as one of the most innovative lighting control solution providers in the UK.
