After European Installation BUS (EIB) based lighting control system installed at a major underground station, Andromeda Telematics again to provide additional control of all signage.
This will ensure that the 87 metre tall tower's highly accurate dimming controls will provide air traffic controllers with optimum lighting levels for viewing both instruments and approaching aircraft.
The project presented Andromeda Telematics with a number of technical challenges and these have been addressed using EIB technology.
"EIB is a simple technology in terms of ease of installation but has a high integration and functional capability with the ability to easily change its functionality to meet changing project requirements," says Chris Glasow, Executive Chairman of Andromeda Telematics.
"These factors were key to its specification for both the traffic control tower and the Terminal 5 contract as a whole".
