Wireless sensor monitors circuit status

An Adaptive Wireless Solutions product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Sep 11, 2007

Adaptive Wireless Solutions have added a contact closure wireless sensor as part of their wireless sensor network family.

The latest addition to the range of wireless sensors from Adaptive Wireless Solutions is the SensiNet CONT-1022-E which reports the status of the circuit at a user-defined interval.

When used with the SensiNet Gateway, the status is accessible via a variety of formats, including OPC, ModBus, and SOAP/XML.

The CONT-1022-E can be used with a variety of switches including mechanical, IR, and magnetic.

Two contacts are supported for each CONT-1022.

Wireless sensor networks look set to revolutionise condition monitoring of equipment because they overcome the main obstacle with traditional approaches - the cost of field wiring.

The Sensicast products which Adaptive supply provide a complete end to end solution including sensor nodes, routing nodes to reliably transport data through the network and gateway nodes for linking into existing monitoring.
