Apollo Is Centre Stage At Broadway Plaza
Complex fire detection requirements at Broadway Plaza, Birmingham, UK, have been resolved using an Apollo-based intelligent fire detection system.
A separate back box is not required, as it forms part of the mounting box, and detector heads can be fitted to the bases prior to installation.
The device can be used with ceiling tiles up to 25mm thick.
Moulded springs on the back of the mounting box automatically adjust to the tile's thickness, while plastic blades embedded in the back of the tile secure it into position.
The mounting box includes three M20 and two M25 knock-outs and a guide showing the size of hole that should be cut in the ceiling tile.
If the hole is cut too big, the device includes slots that allow it to be screwed onto the tile.
The product is available with one of two different-sized retaining rings, one for use with Apollo detector bases 45681-309 and another for sounder bases 45681-310.
Apollo is one of the world's leading manufacturers of conventional and analogue addressable smoke and heat detectors for commercial and industrial applications, with its products being used in over 100 countries.
