A-Plant, will be using the Health and Safety '08 exhibition at Sandown Park, Esher in Surrey, to put the spotlight on the company's campaign in the Health and Safety market.

Health and Safety '08 exhibition, 26th - 27th February 2008, Sandown Park, Esher in Surrey A-Plant is exhibiting on stand number 138 and will be showcasing new initiatives aimed at enhancing Health and Safety in the wide range of industries served by the company

A-Plant's new Setting the Safety Standard campaign will be featured for the first time at the Health and Safety '08 exhibition and answers a market need identified by customers for more information and solutions to meet current and future safety legislation.

Also being seen for the first time at the Health and Safety '08 exhibition will be a new version of A-Plant's highly popular Site Safety Pack, which forms part of the Setting the Safety Standard campaign and will be distributed free-of-charge at the show.

An extensive 60-page Health and Safety handbook is incorporated in the new version of the Site Safety Pack, which provides a wealth of information on a range of subjects - from Hand Arm Vibration Safety and working in confined spaces to manual handling and the safe use of access scaffolds and ladders.

The pack is designed to help site workers understand ever evolving Health and Safety legislation and guidelines.

The new comprehensive pack also includes folders, window stickers and a variety of posters ranging from Dust control and Noise Control, to Working at Height.

In addition, the new pack contains a dust supplement focusing on the substantially reduced Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs) for Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS) exposure introduced by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

A-Plant offers an industry-leading range of dust extraction and suppression equipment to help contractors to meet the reduced WELs.

The A-Plant equipment complies with COSHH regulations stating that dust should be primarily extracted from the point of its production, with airborne dust cleaning being a secondary back up process.

There will be a number of products displayed on the A-Plant stand, including the Pop-Up access system.

Meeting work at height regulations, the Pop-Up system provides site contractors and their staff with a safe and simple low level access platform for indoor use, replacing the need for ladders and steps.

Its detailed design offers a multitude of special features whilst offering the user varying platform heights.

Pop-Up has been designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with both the European Standard EN280 and the safety requirements of the European Machinery Directive 98/37/EC.
