A-Plant wins hire contract for Skanska UK

A-Plant awarded new two-year supplier contract by Skanska UK for the supply of plant, tools and equipment.

After an exhaustive tendering process that involved all the major players in the plant and tool hire industry, A-Plant, one of the leading non-operated equipment rental companies in the UK, has been awarded a new two-year supplier contract by Skanska UK for the supply of plant, tools and equipment.

With a total annual spend at Skanska for hire of this type of equipment worth around GBP5 million, the new contract for A-Plant builds on the close working relationship the companies have developed over the past eight years.

The terms of the new A-Plant contract also allow for a one-year extension based on performance.

Employing over 5000 staff in the UK, Skanska undertakes over GBP1.3 billion of work each year in this country.

Skanska operates under two clear business units - Construction and Infrastructure developments - and carries out some of the largest and smallest projects the company undertakes.
