A-Plant achieves Achilles Accreditation
A-Plant, a non-operated plant, tool and equipment hire company, achieves the Achilles Building Confidence Accreditation.
The Building Confidence audit is empowered by Achilles working in partnership with Bovis Lend Lease - a supplier pre-qualification and accreditation service for the UK construction industry.
Building Confidence is quickly becoming recognised as the standard for supplier excellence within the industry.
Major contractors are using the service to evaluate their supply chains, drive up performance and forge longer lasting relationships with key suppliers.
A-Plant, which forms part of FTSE-250 Company Ashtead Group plc, is the first national rental company in Europe to achieve dual certification to both the ISO 14001:2004 standard and OHSAS 18001:2007 specification covering health and safety and environmental procedures.
A-Plant is also the first major player in the European hire industry to achieve certification that covers the entire scope of the company's operations encompassing all A-Plant depots and administration centres.
By having its integrated Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) risk management systems independently assessed by the BSI and approved for IS0 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditation, A-Plant customers can have complete confidence that A-Plant is a supplier that can offer approved management of environmental and health and safety risks in every aspect of their business.
