Reflectashield TF, recently been awarded British Board of Agrement Certificate, is a reflective breather membrane specifically developed for use in timber frame wall construction.

The A Proctor Group have been supplying a range of Acoustic and Construction Membrane products to the timber frame industry for more than twenty-five years The company has recently been awarded British Board of Agrement Certificate number 05/4210 for Reflectashield TF

Reflectashield TF is a reflective breather membrane and was specifically developed for use in timber frame wall construction.

The product is a result of in depth market research and was developed to meet industry and regulatory requirements set by NHBC, TRADA and British Standards.

The product provides similar performance characteristics to Frameshield 100 with the added benefit of a low surface emisivity and reflective properties.

The two layer 120 gsm membrane is manufactured using a patented process and the product is unique to the A Proctor Group Limited.

The base layer is a flame retardant nonwoven spunbonded polypropylene and is UV stabilised.

The top layer is a film coated with aluminium particles with a polymeric layer applied to protect the metallic surface from weather and abrasion.

The inner surface of the product is white and the outer surface is silver.

Reflectashield TF has a high strength to weight ratio and is sufficiently robust to withstand site damage.

The material is supplied in 2700mm wide rolls for factory fitting.

The membrane is water resistant and will provide temporary protection during construction and act as a secondary barrier upon completion.

It is also breathable and will assist in preventing interstitial condensation.

The membranes low surface emisivity and reflective properties will provide added thermal benefit to the performance of a timber frame wall.
