Roofshield - a decade of success

The A Proctor Group is celebrating a decade of success for their breather membrane Roofshield.

The A Proctor Group is celebrating a decade of success for their breather membrane Roofshield This superior breather membrane was introduced to the U.K.Building Industry and it continues to offer the highest performance of any breather membrane available today

Roofshield was the result of a five year intensive Research and Development programme undertaken by The A Proctor Group in association with their manufacturing partners Don and Low Nonwovens.

Contrary to popular belief, all breather membranes are not the same, some issues that the specifier/roofer/end user must consider are:.

* Air permeability - "reduces condensation risk".

* Water resistance - "other breather membranes may leak" .

* Resistance to water vapour - "the lower the better".

* Compatibility - "other breather membranes may not be compatible with reputable timber treatments".

* Wind Noise - "other breather membranes may give a drumming effect" .

Roofshield holds two British Board of Agrement Certificates; for use in warm pitched roofs (BBA96/3220) and cold pitched roofs (BBA99/3648).

A moisture vapour permeability of 2409 g/m2/day, water vapour resistance of 0.09MNs/g and the added benefit of air permeability confirms Roofshield'S high performance.

Roofshield is compatible with the main types of timber treatments used today on rafters, soft wood sarking boards and tile battens.

It does not suffer from the wind noise problems associated with other lighter weight breather membranes. Request a free brochure from A Proctor Group ...
