Roofshield help upgrade The Culloden
Hotel

In the recent upgrade of the 5 star Culloden Hotel in Belfast, contractors used Roofshield to inhibit the formation of condensation in the roofspace.

Built in 1876 by William Auchinleck Robinson JP, Culloden House stands on the eastern side of Belfast Lough At the end of the 19th Century it became the official residence of the Church of Ireland Bishop of the Diocese, and was known as the Bishop's Palace

The Hastings Hotels Group purchased the premises in 1967 and over the years The Culloden has been transformed into Northern Ireland's finest and most distinguished 5 star hotel.

In the latest upgrade, 33 bedrooms have been added by the contractor, MOD Building Contractors of Banbridge.

To ensure condensation does not create problems within the roof structure.

MOD Building Contractors installed Roofshield breather membrane as part of the roofing envelope.

Roofshield has an unrivalled reputation as one of the highest performing breather membranes available to the UK Building Industry - a reputation it has earned over the past decade.

An R.I.B.A.approved CPD seminar, "Condensation in the Roof Space", is available to Architects and Contractors and deals with the principles and effects of condensation in insulated pitched roofs. Request a free brochure from A Proctor Group ...
