Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Mar 1, 2010

Crest Nicholson selected Profloor Acoustic Systems for installation at their prestigious dockside development at Port Marine, Portishead.

The A Proctor Group of Blairgowrie has supplied 3000 linear metres of their Profloor Activ Batten as the floating floor treatment to the separating floors.

Profloor Activ Batten is a composite acoustic batten which comprises a softwood timber batten and a unique, vertically oriented fibre which has been designed to improve the acoustic performance of both concrete and timber floors.

With its enhanced performance levels it will help to satisfy Building Regulation requirements,Approved Document E for England and Wales and Section 5 for Scotland, and will also meet the requirements of Robust Details' FFT1 and FFT3 constructions.
