Maibec cladding met the owners' reuest for an aesthetically pleasing timber cladding with low maintenance requirements.
Maibec Timber Cladding from A Proctor has been used in the refurbishment of The Brae Hotel
As the Sheltand Islands are in a remote and exposed location, the warranties available on this product were extremely important to the clients.
Maibec is a natural softwood timber, with a 50 year warranty against rot and decay, and an 18 year warranty against peeling and blistering of the stained finish.
This 18 year warranty can be extended by a further 15 years provided the timber is re-coated within the original 18 year period.
There are extensive benefits to using Maibec timber cladding, including a proven history of the product.
Along with the warranties offered, low maintenance and lifecycle costs mean that architects can specify this product with the confidence that the cladding will last for years to come.
Maibec is easy to install, using established methods, and is available in six standard colours, and most other colours can be matched if required.
Pepperwood was the colour of choice for the Brae Hotel and this was supplied in a Cove profile.
