Aranovus asbestos roof refurbishment
Aranovus system specifically developed to offer an environmentally sympathetic solution to the growing problem of 'end-of-life' asbestos cement roofs.
With the growing importance of world-wide environmental issues and the need for sustainable development, the Aranovus system was specifically developed to offer an environmentally sympathetic solution to the growing problem of 'end-of-life' asbestos cement roofs In particular, the system allows compliance with the European drivers to reduce the amount of hazardous waste being disposed of to landfill and also promotes the principals of recycling and re-use

To demonstrate the importance of reducing the asbestos waste stream to landfill, in 2002/3:.

* some 340,000 tonnes of asbestos were disposed of to several hundred landfill sites in England and Wales Following the recent European led changes to landfill operating licences.

Developing housing, industrial and commercial sites on previously contaminated or brownfield sites, means the construction industry need to come up with innovative solutions.
Fast Track Walling System
Versatile fast track walling system is compatible with steel framed structures plus exhibits considerable savings.
* Wales now has no sites licensed to accept asbestos.
* Northern Ireland now has no sites licensed to accept asbestos.
* Scotland now has 3 sites licensed to accept asbestos (from 26).
* England now has some 34 sites licensed to accept asbestos (from several hundred).
It is, therefore, clear that there is simply insufficient space available in UK landfill sites to accept the millions of tonnes of asbestos waste that will be generated by traditional asbestos removal techniques over the coming years.
In addition, significant haulage journeys are now being carried out to transport hazardous waste across the country to the few sites able to accept it, causing further environmental problems.
A sustainable solution is, therefore, essential.
While the Aranovus system offers one such sustainable environmental solution for asbestos cement roofs, the process goes a step further than minimising environmental impact by offering significant economic and social benefits over its traditional competitors.
These come in the form of reduced capital and maintenance costs, allowing building occupancy and production to continue during refurbishment and by being an inherently safer option.
An important aspect of the Aranovus system is that there is no down time.
Buildings that are occupied can continue in operation whilst the roof is being repaired and coated.
This is an important economic factor as there is no loss of potential income during the process and there is no need to relocate staff and/or stock.
As well as the environmental benefits the economic benefits are two fold.
There is no loss of productivity and the Aranovus system is significantly cheaper than re-roofing or over-roofing.
Once applied the Aranovus system has a continuing guarantee with maintenance.
