Laver on expansion trail into Olympic
heartland
Arnold Laver major new distribution depot at Rainham, East London, is close to new facilities being constructed for the 2012 London Olympic Games where it aims to supply materials for new buildings.

It comes in the wake of Laver's recent management buy-in.
The new depot in New Road, Rainham, will see the conversion of an existing building whereby Laver's can supply the Thames corridor, East London, Kent and Essex areas.
From the summer, the depot will have a customer facing Call Collect facility.
Managing Director Andrew Laver said: "Rainham is the next stage in the expansion plans for the group and provides us with an ideal base to provide a first class service across south east England and the capital".
The GBP110m turnover Timber World division has grown to become one of the largest and most respected timber merchants in the UK with 13 branches across the country, stocking a wide range of softwoods, hardwoods, sheet materials, laminates, joinery products, kitchens and building products for nationwide delivery or Call Collect.
In addition, Timber World offers a wide range of ancillary services including machining, panel cutting, timber treatment, CNC Routering, fabrication and roof truss manufacture.
Mr Laver added: "The recent management buy-in provided the platform to allow the Group to press on with its expansion plans for its timber merchanting division as well as leisure and property divisions".
"Rainham will offer a number of new opportunities for us." The company was founded by Arnold Laver in 1920 in Sheffield and now employs 800 staff in 13 branches across the country including eight locations in Yorkshire.
Its property division has grown significantly in recent years carrying out a number of high profile developments in Yorkshire.
Further schemes are in place which will see the division continue its expansion over the next few years.
