Armourcoat the natural choice for Carpe Diem
Application of Armourcoat polished plaster helped form an incredibly durable and seamless finish for the front of the bar servery at Bristol's new gourmet restaurant and champagne bar - Carpe Diem.
The club's new owners, Soho Clubs + Bars, were looking to update the club to meet the needs and expectations of its private members and customers.
With concept design and refurbishment co-ordinated by interior designer, Jamie Alcock, the venue has been transformed with the application of over 250m2 of custom effect polished plaster.
Armourcoat worked with Jamie to create a series of unique bespoke finishes for the club.
These ranged from rustic granite to the entrance and feature areas; colourwashed Pitted to the seating and VIP booths; and two-tone Spatulata finishes for the bar area.
For the finishing touch, a number of Shadow Lounge logos and floral designs were incorporated throughout.
Armourcoat's AntiCrack skimcoat was utilised at Shadow Lounge to eliminate movement and cracking between plasterboard joints.
The alternative to traditional skim coating, AntiCrack creates an extremely strong backing layer capable of ironing out joint lines, bumps and bead flaring.
Jamie commented "I have made sure that the Shadow Lounge lives up to its name".
"With the club's accent on quality, I wanted an honest and natural wall finish; all tactile and exuding strength". Request a free brochure from Armourcoat Surface Finishes ...
