Metal roofing and cladding building systems specialists Ash and Lacy are extending their distribution network.

Metal roofing and cladding building systems specialists Ash and Lacy are extending their distribution network with the opening of a brand new operation near Leeds and the relocation of their Kingston operation to larger premises in Chessington Building on the successes of their West Bromwich, London and Glasgow operations, plans are well underway for the fourth depot, located in Dewsbury, south of Leeds, to be operational before the end of 2006, providing true national coverage

The new fabrication and distribution centre will offer the full range of standard Ash and Lacy fabrications, flashings and rainwater goods as well as bespoke architectural fabrications such as bullnoses, soffits and curved components to the same high standards of quality and customer service that the market has grown accustomed to receiving from Ash and Lacy.

In addition the Ashfix and Ashgrid product ranges will be stocked on site for onward distribution across the region.

Michael Travis has been appointed as General Manager at Leeds, bringing with him 11 years of experience within the cladding, contracting and fabrication industry.

Mike comments "Our extensive stocks, manufacturing flexibility and skilled staff enables us to manufacture standard flashings within 24 hours and if required, up to 6 metres in length, offering unbeatable service".

"In addition, we can produce one-off complex products from a variety of materials ranging from light gauge colourcoats, galvanised steel, mill finish aluminium and coated aluminiums".

"I am extremely excited with this new venture and opportunity to extend Ash and Lacy's excellent reputation for quality and service across the North East".

The same product ranges will be continue to be offered from Ash and Lacy's new premises in Chessington following the recent move from their previous site in Kingston-upon-Thames.

However, the move has allowed Ash and Lacy to expand their service offering to London and the South East with the new site providing a significant increase in production output and stock capacity.

General Manager Alan Marchant comments "this move will enable us to build on the successes of recent years and continue to offer great service to our customers across the South for the full range of Ashfab, Ashfix and Ashgrid products".

Both depots are located on new modern industrial units with quick and easy access to local motorway networks for ease of collections and deliveries.

Andrew Robertson, Ash and Lacy Sales and Marketing Director, commented - "We have seen significant growth in our businesses across the UK so the opportunity to establish ourselves in the North of England enables us to provide true National coverage with the high levels of service that a local facility provides".

"We are delighted to welcome Michael on board and look forward to supporting him in taking the business forward".

"Regarding the South East, we had effectively outgrown our site in Kingston so this relocation will allow us to further develop our business here.".
