CITB Recognises ABC's Key Industry Role
The importance of the Association of Brickwork Contractors (ABC) in shaping the future of the construction industry has been recognised by the CITB. ,
The training board's coordinating committee for vocational quality and standards has selected Paul Donnelly, Managing Director of Marlborough Brickwork, one of the founding companies of the ABC to chair the new occupational working group for trowel occupations "Skills development, underpinned by health and safety awareness, is fundamental to the future of the brickwork industry," states Paul Donnelly

The Association of Brickwork Contractors was formed by twelve of the UK's leading brickwork contractors to promote the role of the bricklayer and the brickwork contractor.
With 20 members and rising, it focuses on four key areas: quality of work, employment, health and safety, and training and education.
Membership is open to all brickwork contractors and subcontractors who use brick and who subscribe to these objectives.
The Brick Development Association, the Better Brickwork Alliance, and the Construction Industry Training Board support the objectives of the Association.
