ATM Technology Management today announced details of a hardware support and maintenance contract with civil engineering and construction company Edmund Nuttall.

ATM Technology Management today announced details of a hardware support and maintenance contract with civil engineering and construction company Edmund Nuttall.

The contract, with the nationwide provider of IT help desks and managed services, will provide Edmund Nuttall with rapid on-site repair or replacement of faulty servers, PCs and printer devices throughout its network of regional offices.

As one of the UK's largest civil engineering contractors, with projects including port installations on the River Humber and an airport terminal in Harare, Zimbabwe, Edmund Nuttall relies heavily on its hardware.

By using ATM's UK Customer Support Desk, Edmund Nuttall is benefiting from ATM's bespoke systems to track service requests, SLAs, inventory alterations, engineers' schedules, parts movements and workshop repairs.

ATM is also providing added value, with expertise in the construction sector, having gained experience in tough environments from the offshore oil exploration sector, among others.

"In this industry, maintaining our hardware is imperative and we need a company that can respond quickly to minimise network downtime".

" ATM has the necessary infrastructure and resources to provide a quality maintenance service and we are confident that ATM will fulfil our requirements," said Steve Shepherd, ICT manager, Edmund Nuttall.

"We are pleased to be providing our services to Edmund Nuttall," said Neale Stidolph, sales director, ATM Technology Management.

"Having had experience with another major construction company, we understand the importance of meeting our clients' specific needs in this demanding sector and, in the event of a malfunction, our enhanced fix criteria of four working hours on critical servers will enhance service levels and minimise time spent fire fighting." ATM is now supporting over 2,400 devices located in Edmund Nuttall's offices across the UK.

The 12 month contract also supports fault diagnosis, replacement parts and preventive maintenance of the printers, scanners and PCs.

ATM's services are also available with network monitoring, remote managed services and 24-hour help desk support.
