Architects Invest in Autodesk Revit
Swanke Hayden Connell Architects have invested in Autodesk Revit to further build business in the healthcare sector.
"This is a major investment for the council, but we predict it will bring significant return both in time saved and higher quality design," says Andy Thompson, senior architect at North Tyneside Council.
"The council was using AutoCAD and Autodesk Architectural Desktop, but went through a rigorous selection process before making the decision to purchase Revit," explains David Liddle of the Newcastle-based reseller, Imass, who made the sale.
"North Tyneside Council is being particularly forward-looking by selecting Revit," says Pete Baxter, Autodesk sales director, Building Solutions Division, Northern Europe.
"Because Revit is highly intuitive to use, and its parametric change technology captures all the information about the design as it develops, customers tell us it helps them to design faster and more accurately, giving them the freedom to work more creatively". "Once captured, the data can then be re-used where appropriate further downstream in the design-build process, so it also promotes a very efficient way of working.".
