Improve Management of Building Assets
World's leading hospitality, leisure and entertainment design firm integrates Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Buzzsaw to improve management of building assets.
"Autodesk's Buzzsaw and DWF software were vital to managing designers and architects for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," said Kevin Scott, vice president of architecture and design at Centex Homes.
"Whether or not it's featured on television, residential and commercial construction presents architects and builders with the huge challenge of making sure they use accurate plans and manage work that's done concurrently".
"Autodesk software helped us share drawings and orchestrate tasks to ensure that the crew was using the right designs and documents to complete work on time and on budget".
From Ideas to Reality Some life-changing dreams have been turned into reality with Autodesk technology.
A recent episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" featured a Centex Homes crew building a seven-bedroom house in less than a week.
The home was built for a family whose residence had been destroyed by fire, forcing them to camp out in a tent for months.
To help complete the project on time and within budget, Centex Homes relied on technology such as Autodesk Buzzsaw to co-ordinate the design and construction aspects of the project.
In addition to professional tools, Autodesk also offers a product version for hobbyists and do-it-yourselfers, AutoSketch 9 design software.
According to a 2004 home improvement survey by marketing firm NOP WorldConsumer Trends, half of respondents plan to complete a home improvement project in the next year or two; 60 per cent anticipate making changes to their homes - even four in 10 renters have home improvement plans.
For consumers who want to embark on their own remodelling and construction projects, AutoSketch 9 features great design and drafting capabilities in an easy drag-and-drop environment to make drafting more efficient. Request a free brochure from Autodesk ...
