SIGGRAPH Electronic and Animation Theatres.

Many Autodesk customer projects are among those selected for the SIGGRAPH 2006 Electronic and Animation Theatres, including this year's Best of Show winner, One Rat Short, written and directed by company founder Alex Weil of Charlex, a New York-based digital design and post-production studio.

Charlex ventured into filmmaking with the 10-minute animated One Rat Short, a tale of a subway rat who is led by the mesmerising ballet of a discarded food wrapper into an adventure of love and loss on a dark Manhattan night.

The work showcases Charlex's dark, filmic approach to animation and was created using Maya.

In addition, the following Autodesk customers' work is being featured in the SIGGRAPH Electronic Theatre:.

* Big Ad and War of the Appliances: Animal Logic used the Autodesk Inferno and Autodesk Flame visual effects systems and Maya animation software to produce these high-profile TV commercials.

* Mayfly: Absolute used Flame to composite this Vodafone TV commercial.

* Bubble Girl: PSYOP used Flame on this TV commercial.

* Monster House: There Goes the Neighbourhood and Open Season: Separating the Trees From the Forest: Sony Pictures Imageworks used Maya.

* Robin Hood Flour: Red Rover used Autodesk 3ds Max to produce this TV commercial.
