Autodesk sponsors construction industry 'Oscars'

For the second year running, Autodesk is sponsoring the Civil Engineering Project category as part of this years British Construction Industry Awards.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London on 8 October 2008 - with the awards presented by Margaret Hodge, MP, Minister of Culture, Media and Sport.

Compere for the evening will be Ian Hislop.

These awards are known for their rigorous selection process and are therefore regarded as the "Oscars of the industry".

Last year's winner of the Autodesk-sponsored award was the RNLI Padstow Lifeboat Station.

"The British Construction Industry Awards play a huge role by showcasing innovation and best practice within the construction and civil engineering industries - and we're delighted to continue to support them," says David York of Autodesk.
