Revit suite includes AutoCAD Architecture software

An Autodesk product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Oct 15, 2008

Autodesk has released AutoCAD Revit Architecture Suite 2009, which extends its software applications to include AutoCAD Architecture software.

Developed to help more architects to make the transition to Building Information Modelling (BIM), AutoCAD Revit Architecture Suite now includes Revit Architecture, AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD software.

The product allows, for example, architecture firms to continue to use AutoCAD for project work while introducing Revit Architecture across the company in controlled stages.

It ensures that users avoid losing momentum on legacy work and puts a wider skills pool at their disposal during busy periods.

Because Revit Architecture enables architects and designers to work with essential model information, not individual drawing files, it means early ideas can be captured and built upon, without a break in digital workflow.

Dynamic modelling brings greater productivity, fewer errors and better coordination between drawings and documentation.

All AutoCAD Revit Architecture 2009 subscription customers will receive the release automatically.
