Autodesk signs licence agreement for its software

An Autodesk product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Sep 16, 2009

Autodesk and the Halcrow Group have signed a global network user licence agreement to offer professionals greater access to its software.

Halcrow has invested in licences that enable users to select the most suitable software solution for their project from a portfolio of Autodesk software.

The licence agreement incorporates consultancy and training from Autodesk to ensure best practices and optimisation of the investment.

Working closely with Autodesk Major Accounts, Halcrow has chosen this new licensing model as part of a ten year strategy for growth.

With its headquarters in the UK, Halcrow has around 8,000 staff worldwide and is currently working on programmes in more than 70 countries.

The new licence model ensures that all staff have access to the latest design technologies enabling improved cost planning and management.

Mark Paraskeva, VP of EMEA, Autodesk, says he believes that Halcrow is a pioneer in what could become a standard shift in licensing agreements.

"The combination of this highly flexible arrangement with consultancy and training from Autodesk results in a streamlined, more productive way of working.

Halcrow is a true example of a global organisation using innovation to compete and win in a challenging market - not only in providing its clients with innovative design solutions but also in its approach to doing business.

"Halcrow is taking a significant step by putting in place a template for a more sustainable business model".
