Autodesk signs global agreement with WSP Group

An Autodesk product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Mar 16, 2010

Autodesk announces a global partner agreement with WSP Group, with 24/7 licensing and support enabling more efficient use of global resources.

The agreement addresses the growing demand for more efficient global collaboration, alongside the need to take advantage of the constant development of 2D and 3D design software and the benefits this brings to multiple industries.

It marks a trend among large, worldwide organisations for more flexible licensing agreements which help streamline workflow and maximise software investments.

The contract is Autodesk's largest Multiflex agreement signed outside the US.

It means the creation of centrally-managed, flexible licences which allow users to choose the solution best suited to their project from a comprehensive portfolio of Autodesk software.

The agreement also includes consulting and training services helping to ensure best practices and optimisation of the software's capability and benefits.

This is the first time WSP Group has entered into a global agreement with a single supplier, calling it a milestone in its development of new internal collaborative processes such as the adoption of building information modelling (BIM).

Backed by support from Autodesk, this method of working will mean WSP Group can maximise its resources in Asia, strengthening its competitiveness in Europe and the US.
