Thermofol U Single Ply Roofing System from Bauder used at Waterloo Terrace, in the heart of Islington, London.

Waterloo Terrace is a brand new development comprising exclusive apartments and duplexes situated in the heart of Islington, London Both client and architect namely Metropolis and HLM Design respectively, required the aesthetics of a terne coat steel roof, but costings dictated that an alternative be sought

Performance and Deck Roofing Limited, sub-contractors for all roofing works, approached Bauder for the answer.

The Thermofol U Single Ply Membrane was a competitively priced solution giving the main contractor, Aitch Construction the durability they were looking for, whilst achieving the exact required appearance of a steel roof.

The Bauder name gave confidence to both client and architect with the reassurance that the product would live up to their expectations.

Thermofol U is just one of the Single Ply Roofing Systems available from Bauder.

Its light grey surface colour is highly solar reflective making it resistant to UV damage, whilst the polyester cross-weave reinforcement makes it particularly resilient to tears and punctures.

"We had looked at a few options before deciding that Bauder was the best alternative to the specified terne coated steel".

"The finished roof has the appearance envisioned by the architect, at a price which suited all parties" said Paul Sievewright ofPerformance and Deck Roofing Limited.
