Sterling win for Baggeridge Brick at
Chelsea
Baggeridge Brick received a Silver Gilt Medal at this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Champagne corks will be popping at Sedgley-based Baggeridge Brick following the news that the company has received a Silver Gilt Medal at this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show It took four trucks, five hard landscapers and bricklayers and a planting team of seven to build the traditionally styled garden which took seven months to design and ten days to set up, with a dedicated team working from 6.30am until dusk

The garden, situated on Sunflower Street, is called 'A touch of Classic' and has been designed by award-winning garden designer, Ian Shooter, who has taken a retrospective look back at the key elements and flavours of a classic English garden to create a truly tranquil exterior setting.
A circular herringbone paved area, created using a blend of Baggeridge's Red Multi Sovereign Stock and Castilian Russet Sovereign Stock bricks surrounding a brick sundial provides a focal point on the stand, while water from a wall mounted feature which cascades into a galvanised tank adds a touch of tranquillity.

Having won a total of ten awards at the Chelsea Flower Show in the last decade of exhibiting, including three previous Gold Medals, garden designer Ian Shooter, who founded The Garden Design Centre, based at Scotsdale Garden Centre, Great Shelford in Cambridge is delighted to be celebrating further success at this year's show.
He comments: "Winning the Silver Gilt Medal means so much to everyone who has been involved with the design and build of the stand and it has been made even more special because after this year, Sunflower Street won't feature at the Chelsea Flower Show again.
"The weather in Chelsea has been slightly unkind to us year, but in no way has it dampened the spirit of everyone working on the Baggeridge stand".
Alison Adderley, Baggeridge's marketing services manager continues: "We have exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show for five years and every year, Ian has well and truly wowed visitors to the stand and this year is no exception.
Even though we won't be at Chelsea next year, we look forward to working with Ian and the team again in the not too distant future!".
