Baggeridge Brick appoints new product manager to oversee the development and promotion of the company's innovative clay cladding system - Corium.

Baggeridge Brick has appointed a new product manager to oversee the development and promotion of the company's innovative clay cladding system - Corium Simon Hughes joins Baggeridge with a wealth experience in the manufacturing industry having previously worked for Downer Cladding Systems, CGL Cometec and Fischer Fixing, with a career that spans more than 20 years

As part of his new role, Simon will be responsible for identifying leads, increasing conversion rates and achieving sales targets for Corium.

He will liaise closely with installers and main contractors to communicate the unique selling points of the product and promote the Corium brand throughout the construction industry.

Simon said he is looking forward to working for the company which has a solid reputation with the brick manufacturing arena.

He said: "This is a newly created position and I am delighted to have been appointed".

"My aim is to boost the presence of Corium throughout the construction industry, particularly within health and education sectors, while at the same time, build on recent sales successes".

Phil Noble, Corium's technical director comments: "Simon adds substantial cladding technical expertise and sales experience to drive the Corium operation and his appointment is a positive step forward in our belief that this product is the brick cladding system in the industry at present".

The revolutionary Corium system comprises genuine brick tiles which have been specially designed to fix mechanically to a steel backing section.

These are then mounted in rows onto the backing structure and the tiles are clipped into place.

Corium is ideal for refurbishment projects as the cladding is light and can be fixed up to ten storeys high, yet still maintains its strength and durability.

The Corium range includes eight finishes in its standard range providing a strong basis for design versatility, however a number of optional finishes now exist to support any design specification.

Corium can be used to achieve interesting and unusual bond patterns including arches and installations at 45 and 90 degree angles.

Glazed tiles in thirteen colours add to the flexibility of Corium as well as face textures including timber, stone and riven and an extensive range of standard specials.

Fully mortared, ready to use Corium panels are also now available for commercial contracts.
